Postdoctoral Position: Mitacs Fellow - Biosensor and Bioassay Optimization

​

We are hiring a motivated postdoctoral fellow for a two-year MITACs-funded position, working with several universities and an industry partner. Join our team to contribute to cutting-edge research in ELISA-based biosensors with a focus on assay optimization and for which knowledge of electrochemistry would be an asset.

Responsibilities:

· Utilize ELISA expertise for novel diagnostic tools

· Develop ELISA-based microfluidic biosensors

· Optimize bioassay using laboratory methodologies

· Collaborate with industry partner

· Integrate electrochemistry into biosensor platforms

· Evaluate sensor shelf-life, longevity, and drift.

Qualifications:

· Ph.D. in relevant field

· Strong background in biosensors microfluidics and bioassays

· Knowledge of electrochemistry is an asset

· Troubleshoot experiments as needed

· Strong team player

· Conduct scientific research in a responsible and ethical manner

· Contribute to the overall efficiency of laboratory operations

· Present research findings at national and international scientific conferences

· Participate and lead in the writing of scientific manuscripts and patents

· Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and results.
